Wednesday May 8, 2013 Two years ago, a curious thing happened in Irondequoit. Democrats and Republicans briefly fell in love with one another, pledging to work together. The two parties jointly endorsed Supervisor Mary Joyce D’Aurizio and attempted to run a joint slate of candidates for Town board (although that plan was torn asunder by a primary election).
